“Extra’s” Cheslie Kryst spoke with motivational speaker and Hollywood producer DeVon Franklin, who shared his take on the tragedy of George Floyd’s death. Franklin said, “He didn’t have to die this way. This is a defining moment in our country and in our world. What we do today absolutely defines what happens tomorrow. Change doesn’t start collectively, it starts personally, and then once we make a personal change, that’s how we affect a collective change.” DeVon also brought attention to the “solidarity with white people partnering with black people,” which gives him hope for the future.
